American Red Cross visits Water Country USA

All of our Water Country USA lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross. Most of you may know that, but did you know that the American Red Cross visits our park twice a year? During their site visits, they ensure our guards are properly trained and are demonstrating good skills on and off the stand. This week one of the aquatics managers from the national ARC headquarters toured the park as a guest and observed all of our guards.

The animal experts at SeaWorld are always eager to share our story of conservation and animal care, especially when we have a new attraction that supports our mission. But why settle for a regular media interview when you can conduct one from the depths of a 300,000 gallon aquarium?


At Aquatica this morning, October 4, shortly after 11 a.m., a 68-year-old guest was found unresponsive. The park's lifeguards responded quickly and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.  The man was transported by ambulance to Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this most difficult time.
