SeaWorld Cares Team Participates in Waterway Cleanup

This month, a group of about 20 caring and dedicated SeaWorld Orlando team members participated in the Waterway Cleanup at La Costa Urban Wetlands in Orlando, Fla.

Manatee Appreciation Day - SeaWorld Orlando Returns Rescued Manatee Back Home

Today, our Animal Rescue Team returned a male manatee by the name of Streak back to the same waters it was rescued from. The manatee was rescued last December from Blue Springs State Park in Florida by our team and members of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

SeaWorld Orlando Returns 25th Manatee of the Year

Meet Magnolia, a female manatee that was returned to the warm waters of Crystal River, Fla. yesterday by our Animal Rescue Team.

This curious sea cow was rescued 500 miles north of our park in Alabama earlier this year after being spotted by local authorities suffering from injuries and cold stress.

SeaWorld Team Returns 13 Turtles Back to their Natural Environment

It was just yesterday that I had the privilege to share with you all that our dedicated SeaWorld Animal Rescue Team returned two manatees back to the wild. This morning, our Animal Rescue Team was back in the field to return a total of 13 sea turtles to the warm Florida waters.

SeaWorld Team Returns Two Manatees Back to the Wild

The SeaWorld Animal Rescue team is back at it again. This morning, our team members headed out to the waterways near Merritt Island, Fla., to return Clay and Stokes – two beloved manatees – back to the wild. Donning their life vests, our team received great assistance from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Sea to Shore Alliance.

SeaWorld San Diego's "Sea Lions LIVE" Trainers Assist Rescue Team

As another demonstration of SeaWorld's commitment to animals, starting tomorrow Saturday, March 7, 2015, SeaWorld San Diego's "Sea Lions LIVE” will be on hiatus for at least two weeks while trainers from Sea Lion Stadium augment the Rescue Team to help them with the continuing influx of California sea lion pups stranding in mass numbers locally and along the coast of California. It is anticipated that this move will provide an additional six animal specialists daily to assist with ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

Bouncing Baby Dolphin is Born at Discovery Cove

The Discovery Cove team is excited to welcome a new addition to its family! Coral – one of our beloved dolphins who was born at Discovery Cove back in 2000 – recently gave birth to a beautiful, bouncing baby girl on February 7. This is Coral’s second baby and marks the 29th dolphin born at Discovery Cove since the park opened. Go behind-the-scenes with Discovery Cove Trainer Gina McDaniel as she shares more details.
