The Asian Pangolin tops a list that no animal wants to be on – the list of the most heavily traded species in the illegal wildlife trade. Although the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of these unique animals has made significant progress in recent years, there is still plenty of room for improvement.

The Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation Program has been a leader in efforts to save this special species. Their work has led to recent advances in husbandry and rehabilitation - and been successful in keeping pangolins alive in captivity for over two years.
This valuable program has been vital to improving cooperation among rescue centers, scientists, conservationists, animal health experts and policy makers to ensure the long-term survival of pangolins in the wild.
The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund has supported this group since 2008 and is proud to enable them to further these worthwhile efforts.
