Snails, octopuses and squid are all part of the mollusk family. However, the giant clam takes the prize for being the largest living animal without a backbone.

SeaWorld Orlando team members spent a hot July day with The Nature Conservancy at Mosquito River Lagoon in Merritt Island, Florida. They worked hard to create a quilt of oyster mats in knee deep water designed to re-establish damaged oyster beds.

Busch Gardens Tampa donated 10 koi and 12 tilapia on July 15 to St. Joseph's John Knox Village in Tampa, a retirement community only a few miles away from the Tampa theme park.

Last Friday, SeaWorld Orlando employees took part in a unique conservation-related project to help restore dead oyster reefs in the Indian River Lagoon in Central Florida.

Volunteers helped make oyster shell mats that will eventually be distributed into the Mosquito Lagoon.
