A loggerhead sea turtle was returned to the Indian River Wednseday, June 17 near where it was rescued last December.

Around SeaWorld Orlando, this loggerhead sea turtles is known as "Mr. 1,000."

On Wednesday, September 15, SeaWorld Orlando’s Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Team released a 320-pound loggerhead sea turtle to the gulf waters off St. Petersburg Beach, FL.

More than 60 endangered sea turtles impacted by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico have now come through SeaWorld’s Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Center.

Caring for SeaWorld's 303rd endangered turtle patient this year is no small task for park aquarists. The recently rescued reptile is a three-foot, 270-pound loggerhead, found in the waters of San Carlos Bay near Ft. Myers, Fla. on May 6.

This past August, Hurricane Bill spared Florida but the huge storm's affects were still felt by some of the states' smallest residents. Three loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings were under the care of SeaWorld aquarists after rough seas prevented the trio from making their trek into the waters off the Cape Canaveral National Seashore.
