Brrrr! Usually a warm and temperate climate, Central Florida is experiencing some relatively cold temperatures this week. From flamingos to giraffes, some animals love the cold weather. However, some don't! How does our Zoo team make sure that all the animals are comfortable when the temps drop? This Thursday, July 29 catch Julie Scardina on the "TODAY Show" with SeaWorld and Busch Gardens animal ambassadors native to Australia.

Busch Gardens Tampa donated 10 koi and 12 tilapia on July 15 to St. Joseph's John Knox Village in Tampa, a retirement community only a few miles away from the Tampa theme park.

“We have an abundance of the fish, and we were happy to share the surplus with our neighbors at John Knox Village,” said Mike Boos, vice president of zoological operations at Busch Gardens.

Sesame Street's Bert celebrates his birthday on July 26, so Busch Gardens Tampa is hosting a party for him in the new Sesame Street Safari of Fun on Saturday, July 24. Ernie's straight-laced sidekick will be the guest of honor during a breakfast and a lunch dine. Breakfast is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
