SeaWorld Orlando Animal Rescue Team Returns Rehabilitated Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle

Early this morning, SeaWorld Orlando’s Animal Rescue Team traveled to Washington Oaks Garden State Park in Palm Coast, Fla., just south of St. Augustine, to return a juvenile Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle.

SeaWorld® Orlando Rescues Sub-adult Female Manatee near Jacksonville, Fla.

A sub-adult female manatee was rescued yesterday morning from the St. John’s River near Jacksonville, Fla. Sea2Shore had been monitoring the manatee for the past week and notified the Jacksonville Electrical Authority of her distress. The SeaWorld Rescue Team was then called to assist with her rescue after the animal began showing signs of cold stress and was not leaving the area to feed.

SeaWorld Orlando Returns Bottlenose Dolphin after Months of Care

After nearly five months of care at SeaWorld Orlando, an adult male dolphin was returned to waters today near Melbourne Beach, on Florida’s east coast. The Animal Rescue Team, working closely with researchers and dolphin experts from Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute Florida (HSWRI), was able to successfully reintroduce the dolphin to open waters. SeaWorld Orlando Continues to Provide Rehabilitative Care for Four Manatee Calves

If you’ve been following our recent rescue stories, you met the manatee calf we took in last week, rescued from Cape Canaveral Air Base. But did you know our Animal Care Team is now caring for four manatee calves? Rescued at independent times over the past year, these four calves, who range in age from only a couple months old to about six months, continue to receive around-the-clock care from the SeaWorld Orlando Animal Care Team.

75 Sea Turtles Returned by the SeaWorld Orlando Rescue Team

SeaWorld Orlando’s Animal Rescue Team returned 75 sea turtles to waters off Florida’s east coast yesterday. Did we mention they were adorable little hatchlings? A total of 10 green, three hawksbills, 61 loggerheads and one leatherback were transported by boat, the Republic VII, to a “weed line” about 14 miles off the shoreline near Jupiter, Fla.

Four More Manatees are Successfully Returned by SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando's Animal Rescue Team returned four sub-adult, female manatees to the waters of Eddy Creek in Brevard County, Fla., this morning. All four animals had been receiving care at our park for the past several months.
