Conservation is once again the big winner! SeaWorld San Diego continued its support of conservation and animal protection efforts in Southern California with its donation of nearly $5,000 ($4,812.02 to be exact!) to the San Diego chapter of the Conservation Fund.
This money will help The Fund with its effort of protecting wildlife and wild places. “I’m proud to be able to donate the money to the Conservation Fund to help them continue with their work of protecting the land and the wildlife that live there,” said John Reilly, SeaWorld’s park president.
The park raised the money by collecting more than 30,000 pounds of used electronics during the park’s community electronic recycling event held last September. “The San Diego chapter of the Conservation Fund is incredibly thankful to SeaWorld for this generous grant,” said Jena Thompson Meredith, The Fund’s corporate relations director. “It will help us protect some of San Diego County’s finest wildlife habitat.”
